EAS event a success once again for Innovative Leisure

Thu 7th February 2008

Interactive family attractions specialist Innovative Leisure Ltd. enjoyed a successful visit to the first of two Euro Attractions Shows (EAS) for 2008 with the company's ever-growing range of products generating much interest from attendees.

Among the attractions on display was the latest addition to the Innovative Leisure range, the three tree Coconut Tree Climb, being shown for the first time with a folding trailer, painted in green, while a fold-up version of the massively popular Water Wars game was also on view. Additionally, the company was promoting its range of climbing walls and towers, the 3 Kick game, the Rope-A-Phobia high ropes attraction and The Rock, a simulated climbing wall.

"We had another successful EAS show with a lot of interest being shown in all our products," revealed Managing Director Phil Pickersgill. "Having the three tree Coconut Tree Climb full built up was a great advantage – it's so high so people could easily see where we were - but it always makes a big difference when you have product on the stand. This and the Water Wars unit we had helped enormously to draw traffic onto the booth.

"We saw visitors from a wide area of mainland Europe, including parks and resorts from many different countries, and a few park owners from the UK, although most of the UK visitors seemed to be travelling showmen. It was also hugely beneficial to have a member of staff who speaks French and German and a little Spanish, as it meant we were able to communicate with many attendees who we otherwise may not have been able to speak to. Our German distributor Axel Zarsteck was also a great asset during the show and we had our product brochure fully translated into French too, which again paid big dividends."

And he continued: "We are doing very well with Water Wars games going into mobile events this year, in particular for mobile It's A Knockout competitions, and we have some new developments for the attraction coming up specifically for this market. The optional Depth Charge feature has also helped with Water Wars, while we are also doing a lot of quotes for theme Water Wars games for parks.

"EAS in January is a good date for us as we are still able to deliver for April and May from this time," he concluded, "although I appreciate it may not be such a good time for those supplying big rides. It will be interesting to see how the show in Munich goes later this year."
