DigiWall
DigiWall combines the features of a climbing wall and a computer game. It is a computer game you play with your entire body. DigiWall makes physical activity more fun since it is a new way of playing computer games. Light guides the way, sounds and music create presence and atmosphere and the wall responds to your actions.
By combining a standard climbing wall with technology from computer games we can offer an entirely new product, a product that gives experiences built on physical activity and the use of multiple senses. In combination, this creates richer experiences that will add value to many different types of arena including science centres, theme parks, family entertainment centres and schools.

Learning Aspects of DigiWall
The learning aspects of DigiWall works on an overall level through playfulness, competition, collaboration and whole body interaction. It encourages creativity and inspires young people to learn about technology, be immersed in musical sounds and develop coordination, agility and fitness - all at the same time!
DigiWall comes with a number of games based on the following concepts:
- Open-ended games. Most of the games can be played in a multitude of ways depending on how the users choose to play and use them. The number of players can be varied. The players can choose to play climbing all the time or running on the safety mats and climbing when necessary. They can choose to collaborate, to compete against each other or try to beat their own record or totally ignore the competitive game aspects.
- Many-faceted games. Most of the games draw on a multitude of bodily, social and mental skills. Eye and hand coordination; body control and awareness; speed and fast reaction; collaboration and social adaptation; planning, strategy, prioritisation and concentration.
- Adaptable levels. All games have three levels ranging from beginners to experts. This, together with the open-endedness mentioned above, makes the games highly adaptable to people in varying stages of development and with varying degrees of physical and mental abilities. Several games can for example be adjusted in such way that physically climbing the DigiWall is not necessary, but still with all other aspects of the game intact.
- Creativity and social interplay. Several games are designed around two players interacting either directly or over time. In these games the players become responsible for co-creating the gameplay together with the DigiWall software. It becomes vital to use the basic premises the DigiWall game structure gives you. From this basis both players can be creative, and competitive in a rewarding, fun game experience.
DigiWall can be customised to strengthen and highlight a specific theme. This can be done by using a customized sound design or even customized games.
With the DigiWall® Sound Module the users can participate and create their own content to some of the DigiWall® games. This can be used to foster creativity, learn audio recording technology and practice general computer and communicative skills.
DigiWall is a tool for experience-based learning thru games played with the whole body, social interplay and individual achievements.
