Water Wars is an interactive family-orientated water attraction in which participants launch water balloons at each other from within opposing battle stations using the water balloon catapult. Since its inclusion in over 400 venues, Water Wars has enhanced a diverse range of attractions, proving popular with mobile operators, small family-owned centres and many of the world's largest amusement parks.
"It's fantastic! We have surveyed adults leaving the park this season and they regularly say that Water Wars was their favourite attraction. It involves the crowd and we have plenty of people using it a second time. It's our main new attraction this season and we are very pleased with the results" Steve Hamlin, Director, Adventure Wonderland
It makes an entertaining pre-show to a wet ride that can also build secondary spend as it attracts attention. Experience has shown that a Mediterranean climate or being a water theme park is not a prerequisite to commercial success.

"Water Wars opened in Devon's Crealy on April 1st and we have installed filling stations in the queue line so that guests can fill their own balloons as part of the experience while they're waiting to play. We are (also) very pleased with the service from Innovative Leisure, including the training provided." Angela Wright, MBE, Managing Director, Crealy Great Adventure Parks
Operators in the Northern States, the UK and even Norway report strong revenue (even on cloudy days) that provides a healthy return on investment.

Depth Charge
Depth Charge is an exciting new add on to the already popular Water Wars game that sees participants getting even wetter than before. Players launch the water filled balloons as normal towards the opposing battle station but with the Depth Charge option incorporated, if a balloon lands on the target on top of the station, a sensor is triggered which sends a signal to a water tank in front of the station and sets off the Depth Charge. This fires a huge spray of water up in the air towards the adjacent players, soaking them in the process.
Depth Charge has already been installed at:
- Thorpe Park as an upgrade to the existing 8 player game
- Adventure Island as an upgrade to their Double Dyno game
- York Maze as part of their new Water Wars game
"The Water Wars is doing very well and is proving very popular. We've been surprised at how well it does even when the weather isn't good and it is being played by older children as well as their younger brothers and sisters. We're very, very pleased with it." Marc Miller, Director, Adventure Island
You may have seen Water Wars at events or locations such as: Alton Towers, Thorpe Park, Chessington World of Adventures, Paultons Park, Crealy Adventure Park, Adventure Island, Pleasurewood Hills, Adventure Wonderland, York Maze, Sandown Ski Centre, Parc Bagatelle (France), Walibi Rhone Alpes (France), Aqualand Del Vesto (Italy), Hellenic Entertainment Park (Greece), PortAventura (Spain) and TusenFrydd (Norway).
