The main objective for any charity is to increase awareness of their cause. As non-profit organizations, the part of a charity’s income that isn’t spent fighting the cause will be spent on equipment or materials to help aid awareness of the charity and raise more money in the long run.
Innovative Leisure’s range of eye-catching adventure attractions that promote healthy, social activity are the perfect tool for communicating the message of a charitable organization. Charities know the value of getting out into the community to spread their message. While handing out leaflets and talking to passers by is undoubtedly pro active, a crowd drawing activity does a lot of the hard work for you.
Over the years Innovative Leisure has supplied it’s climbing walls and other adventure attractions to various charitable organizations. Here we present some of the recent success stories:
Help for Heroes / Tough Mudder
In 2013 we were contacted by Help for Heroes, the UK’s charity for the support of our injured service men and women. In collaboration with Tough Mudder the world’s foremost organiser of physical endurance events, H4H wanted two Mobile Climbing Walls. Branded with the recognisable H4H logo and the Tough Mudder name, it was hoped the Mobile Walls could exemplify the relationship between the two organizations and increase funds raised by Tough Mudder event participants, many of which compete for charity.
This recent video from Tough Mudder explains exactly how climbing walls have helped the charity and the ex-servicemen and women it supports:
Funding Neuro
Funding Neuro’s Inflatable Water Wars provides fun and raises awareness of the charity’s mission
In 2012 we supplied our Inflatable Water Wars product to Glasgow based charity Funding Neuro, a charity which raises money to overcome common problems which hinder progress towards cures and effective treatments for all illnesses which affect the brain and spinal columns.
An interview with the charity’s fund raising manager Maisie Hamilton we conducted in an earlier Team Innovative Leisure article can be read HERE and outlines how the Water Wars range can also help charities raise funds.
Eye Feel Good
Eye Feel Good’s eye catching Land Rover and banners always draw attention
Belfast based cancer charity Eye Feel Good purchased one of our Mobile Climbing Walls back in 2012. The charity stages a whole range of events throughout the calender year including sports events, race nights and fashion shows.
Extremely active on social media, Eye Feel Good ensure maximum exposure for every one of their events and have acquired a healthy following. They also offer their climbing wall out on a hire basis which raises more money for the charity to be able to stage events.
Team Innovative Leisure spoke to the charity’s chief executive Richard Fee last year about why they chose to purchase an Innovative Leisure Mobile Climbing Wall and how it has enhanced the charity’s efforts.
