Innovative Leisure enjoys a busy year of projects at Haven Holiday Parks

All smiles on Sky Tykes junior ropes course.

Innovative Leisure took on the challenge in 2022 of completing no fewer than 14 projects at Haven Holiday Parks between February and August.

The projects ranged from the brightly coloured climbing walls (both mobile and static) to the junior low ropes courses, to a double level Sky Trail high ropes course. All providing holiday adventure, fun and excitement.

The year was not without difficulties and the team worked diligently to complete all the projects, even when faced with supply chain issues and unpredictable shipping delays, not to mention working outdoors on installations during some of the hottest days seen in years.

Phil Pickersgill, MD of Innovative Leisure reports “We were very pleased to be involved in so many projects for Haven this year. From all reports the new equipment has been enjoyed by guests this summer as part of their UK coastal staycation”

There is no doubt the UK holiday parks have seen a resurgence in recent years following the pandemic and complications surrounding foreign travel.  It is hoped that by increasing the leisure facilities and attractions at the parks, the holiday parks will attract bookings from both new and repeat guests who will keep returning for years to come.  Not only do the exciting and challenging features of both the high ropes courses and climbing attractions help create unforgettable holiday memories but they keep guests on site more which also helps increase secondary spend on things such as F&B.

Simon Palmer, Head of Activities and Leisure at Haven Holidays commented “The team at Innovative Leisure worked tirelessly to ensure the smooth delivery of multiple projects across our estate for our summer season. We are very much looking forward to continuing our partnership with Phil and his team “

Of course, another issue facing the holiday parks, as well as hospitality in general, are the rising energy costs.  This makes attractions such as the climbing walls and high ropes courses particularly popular with operators as they require virtually no power to operate.

The partnership with Bourne leisure is set to continue into 2023 with 4 more projects already confirmed.
